The Nusa Timur Mandiri Foundation (YNTM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering local farmers. On February 27, 2026, YNTM assisted farmers in building raised beds at the Nesam Farmers Group in Banain A Village, North Bikomi District.

This activity was facilitated by YNTM facilitators, Friditas Manek and Ido Boysala, along with members of the Nesam Farmers Group. The head of the farmer group, Alfridus Suni, welcomed the activity and emphasized the importance of agricultural innovation to increase productivity and farmer welfare.

"We are grateful for YNTM's assistance. By building these raised beds, we can plant more regularly and efficiently, while maximizing our harvest yields," said Alfridus Suni.

YNTM facilitator, Friditas Manek, added, "Our presence here is not only to provide technical guidance, but also to encourage farmer independence. These raised beds are simple, yet very effective in increasing productivity."

Meanwhile, Ido Boysala, a fellow facilitator, stated, "Every small step, such as building raised beds, is a significant investment in the future of local agriculture. We hope this method can be widely adopted by other farmer groups in the North Bikomi region."

This activity is part of YNTM's ongoing efforts to build farmer capacity, strengthen local food security, and encourage more productive agriculture in East Nusa Tenggara.
